TVS Motors and Jio-bp will come along to build up a public EV charging infrastructure for electric two-wheelers and three wheelers in the country.

The partnership aims to create an efficient AC charging and a DC fast charging network in the country and will also offer access to the Jio-bp universal charging system, which is also available to other vehicles.

Jio-bp is operating its EV charging and swapping stations under the brand Jio-bp pulse. The company is also developing an app with the name Jio-bp pulse app which can help customers easily to  find stations nearby and charge their electric vehicles.

In addition to creating solutions for smooth customer journey on TVS Motor and Jio-bp apps, both companies will get the finest of their learnings into electrification and utilise them to the Indian market to generate a differentiated customer experience.

TVS Motor Company issued a press release on 5th of April,which stated, “This partnership will help drive EV adoption in the country among two and three-wheeler customers who aspire to take a step forward in going electric. The rapid proliferation of these charging stations will broaden both the companies' horizons and expedite India’s net-zero emission goals”.

TVS Motor company after the launch of its electric mobility products sold over 12,000 units of its high-speed EV scooter TVS iQube. The company has made an investment of Rs.1000 crore towards EV business. Accelerating the path to electrification, the company is also preparing a proper portfolio of two and three wheelers in the range of 5- 25kw, which will be in the market within the next 24 months.
