The much awaited all-new electric Mahindra Atom EV is soon to be launched in four variants K1, K2, K3, K4. The K1 & K3 will get a 7.4kWh battery pack, while the K2 & K4 will get an 11.1kWh pack. This EV should boast a top speed of 70 kmph with a range of around 100 km and peak power output is rated at 11PS. The price of this vehicle in India is expected to be around 3 to 5 lakh.

Mahindra Atom Electric’s launch is getting nearer as its variant and description details have been revealed by RTO documents. It will be an all electric quadricycle, aimed towards shared mobility. The company first showcased its all-new electric Atom EV quadricycle concept at the 2018 Auto Expo, and then in near-production form at the 2020 Auto Expo. It was originally supposed to go on sale in 2020, but its production and launch plans were delayed due to the pandemic.

Mahindra says that the Atom is India’s first all electric quadricycle with two doors. The four seater will primarily be aimed at the fleet segment for first and last-mile connectivity.

The Atom will be a very unique vehicle as currently there is nothing similar to it that exists in the Indian market, Atom combines the practicality of a two wheeler, but still has the benefits and safety of a four-wheeler.
