19 August 2026, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE: Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has launched the ‘RAK Ambassador’ initiative, a new programme designed to strengthen the emirate’s position as a global destination for tourism and investment while encouraging greater community participation in its economic growth.

Part of the strategic initiatives supporting Ras Al Khaimah Vision 2030, the programme empowers UAE citizens and residents to act as ambassadors for the emirate by inviting relatives and friends from abroad to experience Ras Al Khaimah.

The initiative aims to translate community networks into greater tourism activity, increased hotel occupancy and visitor spending, while supporting the emirate’s hospitality and commercial sectors.

Turning Residents into Ambassadors for Ras Al Khaimah

The RAK Ambassador initiative is the first of its kind in the emirate and seeks to broaden Ras Al Khaimah’s tourism and investment appeal by directly involving the people who live there.

Citizens and residents aged 18 and above can participate by registering overseas guests before their arrival in the UAE on a tourist visa or visa on arrival. Participants can nominate more than one visitor.

The campaign will run from 19 August to 31 October 2026, with both hosts and guests able to access exclusive benefits and rewards upon fulfilling the programme’s requirements.

Guests participating in the initiative will have access to a range of incentives, including highly discounted hotel accommodation, tickets to prominent tourist attractions, discounts at restaurants and cafés, offers on marine activities and safari tours, benefits on luxury car rentals and exclusive shopping offers at Al Manar Mall.

Commenting on the launch, Dr. Rashid Khalfan Al Nuaimi, Director General, Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said:

“The initiative is the first of its kind in the Emirate and aims to enrich the tourism and investment experiences and enhance its diversity, while increasing its attractiveness for visitors and investors.”

He further stressed:

“The initiative represents an advanced model of partnership between the public and private sectors and reflects the Chamber’s belief in the importance of engaging the community in supporting economic development in line with the targets of Ras Al Khaimah Vision 2030.”

Tourism and Investment as Part of a Wider Economic Strategy

The launch comes as Ras Al Khaimah Chamber advances a broader strategy to strengthen the emirate’s business and investment environment.

The Chamber has approved a five-year strategy for 2026–2030, focused on improving the business environment and reinforcing Ras Al Khaimah’s position as a regional hub for tourism, industry and trade.

The strategy places particular emphasis on attracting foreign investment and international companies, helping local businesses expand into global markets and accelerating the development of the emirate’s digital economy.

It also seeks to create a more competitive and sustainable commercial environment through streamlined procedures, stronger governance and greater transparency, while protecting both consumers and investors.

Supporting startups, entrepreneurship and innovation is another priority, reflecting the emirate’s ambition to create an environment capable of attracting new businesses while enabling existing companies to grow.

Strengthening Ras Al Khaimah’s Global Position

Beyond attracting investment, Ras Al Khaimah Chamber continues to support the emirate’s international economic engagement through exhibitions, trade delegations and participation in international events. It also plays a role in facilitating commercial dispute resolution through mediation and arbitration and representing the emirate’s economic sectors internationally.

Together, the RAK Ambassador initiative and the Chamber’s 2026–2030 strategy demonstrate how Ras Al Khaimah is increasingly connecting tourism, investment, trade, entrepreneurship and digital transformation within its broader economic development agenda.

By combining community-led tourism promotion with private-sector development and international investment attraction, the emirate is building a more interconnected approach to growth.

The initiative also reflects a wider ambition under Ras Al Khaimah Vision 2030: to strengthen the emirate’s position as a leading global destination for living, working, investing and tourism, while supporting sustainable economic growth over the long term.
