Riyadh, Saudi Arabia- April 29, 2025: Mercedes-Benz Cars Middle East, in collaboration with Juffali Automotive Company (JACO), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with EVIQ, Saudi Arabia’s leading electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure provider, to enhance the Kingdom’s sustainable mobility ecosystem. This strategic collaboration highlights Mercedes-Benz’s dedication to advancing Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 by helping build a sustainable and forward-looking mobility ecosystem. Together with EVIQ’s infrastructure expertise and JACO’s established presence in the Kingdom, the initiative aims to create a network of high-power EV charging stations, enabling Mercedes-Benz customers to travel more freely and confidently across Saudi Arabia.

The initiative focuses on enhancing customer convenience, performance, and sustainability while encouraging broader EV adoption. Key objectives include customer education and awareness, promoting the benefits of electric mobility, and fostering innovation, knowledge exchange, and local talent development to support Saudi Arabia’s economic diversification goals. The collaboration integrates EVIQ’s charging infrastructure with Mercedes-Benz’s innovative electric vehicle lineup, including models such as the EQS, EQE, and G580 with EQ Technology, to deliver a tailored EV ecosystem for the Saudi market.

EVIQ, a joint venture between the Saudi Electricity Company and the Public Investment Fund (PIF), is tasked with designing, installing, and operating high-speed charging stations across Saudi Arabia. This partnership aligns with Mercedes-Benz’s global “Ambition 2039” strategy, which aims to achieve a net carbon-neutral fleet across the entire vehicle lifecycle by the end of this decade. By combining EVIQ’s infrastructure expertise with Mercedes-Benz’s advanced electric vehicles and JACO’s regional distribution capabilities, the collaboration marks a significant milestone in shaping Saudi Arabia’s electric mobility future.
