Tarragona, Spain – February 20, 2025 – Kia is set to showcase three new electric vehicles at the second edition of Kia EV Day, scheduled for February 27, 2025, at the Tarraco Arena in Tarragona, Spain. The South Korean automaker has released a teaser video on its official YouTube channel, offering glimpses of the upcoming models, which include the highly anticipated Kia EV4, the Concept EV2, and the PV5 electric van.

The EV4, which will make its global debut at the event, is expected to be a coupe-style derivative of the EV3, based on an updated version of Hyundai Motor Group’s e-GMP architecture. It is likely to be available in two battery configurations—58.3 kWh and 81.4 kWh—offering both single-motor and dual-motor all-wheel drive options.

Kia will also unveil the Concept EV2, a pre-production prototype of its forthcoming entry-level EV. The EV2 is expected to follow Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy and could eventually take the form of an all-electric equivalent of the Syros SUV. The test mules of the EV2 have already been spotted in South Korea, suggesting that its production version is in advanced stages of development.

In addition, Kia will introduce the PV5, the first model under its Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) strategy. The PV5 is a fully electric van featuring a boxy, neo-retro design with futuristic lighting elements. It draws design inspiration from models like the Volkswagen ID. Buzz and is expected to cater to commercial and fleet customers.

Meanwhile, in India, Kia is working on a sub-4-metre, entry-level electric SUV that will be locally manufactured to ensure cost competitiveness. This development aligns with the company’s broader electrification strategy aimed at expanding its global EV portfolio.

Kia’s EV Day is expected to provide deeper insights into the company’s future electric mobility plans. The unveiling of these new models further reinforces Kia’s commitment to sustainability and innovation in the electric vehicle space.
