HIVED Expands UK Delivery Fleet with 11 Mercedes-Benz eActros Trucks

United Kingdom, 11 February 2025: HIVED, British parcel delivery service, has announced a significant milestone in its expansion efforts, securing world's largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, Daimler Truck UK’s first fleet order as part of its commitment to revolutionising modern-day deliveries. The company is strengthening the UK's only fully electric end-to-end delivery network, spanning both middle and final-mile logistics, with the addition of Mercedes-Benz eActros trucks.

As part of this expansion, HIVED has placed an order for 11 Mercedes-Benz eActros trucks, including nine eActros 600 models and two eActros 400 models. The order has been facilitated through Mercedes-Benz dealer partner Motus Truck & Van, and the new fleet will be integrated into HIVED’s nationwide middle-mile network, transporting goods from retailer warehouses to end customers.

The Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 has been selected as the ideal vehicle for middle-mile operations due to its large battery capacity of over 600 kWh, enabling a driving range of up to 310 miles on a single charge. To further optimise efficiency, HIVED is set to install megawatt chargers at its hubs in East and West London, the Midlands, and Manchester over the next year. These high-power charging stations, which remain rare in the UK, will allow the eActros 600 to charge from 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes, marking a significant step in closing the performance gap between diesel and electric heavy goods vehicles.

In an official press release by HIVED, Stuart Jeggo, Sales & Marketing Director of Daimler Truck UK Limited said, “HIVED’s rapid growth is extremely impressive, so we are delighted to be its chosen partner for its first eHGVs and look forward to seeing the first vehicles delivered and out on the road.”

In the press release, Mathias Krieger, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer, HIVED stated, “This is a major moment for the logistics industry. In an industry where the status quo is to run a mixed fleet at best, HIVED is the first delivery company to operate an all-electric delivery network across the middle and final delivery mile. With the eActros 600, HIVED continues to redefine what a modern delivery company looks like with our expanded electric middle mile capacity.”

This development marks a major step toward sustainable, zero-emission logistics, reinforcing HIVED’s leadership in the electric delivery sector while aligning with the UK’s broader decarbonization goals.
