UK | 30 July 2025: Suzuki has announced an exclusive partnership with Ohme, the UK’s fastest-growing smart charging provider, to support the launch of its first fully electric vehicle, the e-Vitara. This collaboration positions Ohme as the official home EV charging partner for Suzuki, providing customers with a seamless charging experience as the brand takes its first major step into the UK’s electric mobility market.

As part of the agreement, Ohme will supply its award-winning smart home chargers to Suzuki customers, offering installation services and comprehensive support throughout Suzuki’s nationwide dealer network.

With over 130 dealerships nationwide, the partnership ensures that new e-Vitara owners will benefit from expert advice and access to cutting-edge charging solutions at the point of sale. Ohme’s chargers will also be showcased in showrooms, with trained dealership staff on hand to guide customers through the benefits of smart EV charging.

Blending its iconic 4x4 legacy with modern electric performance, Suzuki’s new e-Vitara offers a choice between 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery packs, delivering up to 264 miles of WLTP-certified range and marking a bold step into zero-emission mobility.

The vehicle is backed by a robust warranty offering up to 10 years or 100,000 miles, including full battery coverage. Ohme’s dynamic smart chargers complement the e-Vitara’s efficiency by integrating with flexible energy tariffs such as Intelligent Octopus Go, allowing a full charge of the 61kWh battery for as little as £4.27.

One of the key features of Ohme’s technology is its ability to automatically schedule charging when electricity is cheapest and greenest, based on live grid data. This not only helps drivers reduce their charging costs but also significantly lowers their environmental impact. Ohme’s chargers also include solar integration functionality, enabling users to prioritise home-generated energy, further supporting sustainable lifestyles.

In an official press release by Ohme, David Kateley, Director of Automobile at Suzuki GB PLC, said, “Ohme’s cutting-edge technology will help to lower running costs for owners, while their commitment to customer service makes them an ideal match for us, improving the ownership experience of the e-Vitara still further.”

Ohme’s growing reputation in the UK EV ecosystem is reinforced by its status as the official charging partner for Motability Operations, the country’s largest fleet operator. The company has also established relationships with homebuilders such as Harron Homes and Hollins Homes, and maintains ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certifications, demonstrating its strong commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and data security.

Together, Suzuki and Ohme are not just launching a new electric SUV; they’re delivering a fully integrated ecosystem that blends smart technology, sustainability, and user-centric design. This partnership represents a forward-thinking approach to mobility, offering UK drivers an intelligent, efficient, and future-ready solution that goes beyond transportation and embraces a cleaner, more connected way of life.
