18 July 2025, Zaventem, Belgium: Subaru Europe has officially announced the launch of its new all-electric SUV range, marking a bold step into the EV era with three new Battery Electric Vehicles: the all-new Subaru Uncharted, the E-Outback, and a refreshed version of the Subaru Solterra.

Leading the charge is the Subaru Uncharted, the brand’s first all-electric compact SUV. Designed for both adventurous explorers and everyday drivers, the Uncharted features a bold, rugged exterior, a premium cabin with a squared steering wheel, dual wireless chargers, paddle shifters, and a 14-inch infotainment display. It offers 210 mm of ground clearance and a tight 5.5-meter turning radius, making it as capable in the city as it is off the beaten path.

Three drivetrain options will be available. The core variant features Subaru’s signature AWD with dual motors powered by a 77 kWh battery, delivering 252 kW (344 ps), 292 miles of range, and 0 to 62 mph acceleration in 5.0 seconds, along with a 1500 kg towing capacity. A long-range, single-motor FWD version using the same 77 kWh battery offers up to 363 miles of range, while a more affordable FWD version with a 57.7 kWh battery provides 276 miles. All versions include a 22 kW onboard charger and support 10–80% charging in just 30 minutes, even in harsh conditions, thanks to battery pre-conditioning. The Uncharted is set to launch in the UK in early 2026.

Subaru also introduced the E-Outback, a fully electric take on its iconic crossover. Known as the Trailseeker in the US, the E-Outback combines rugged utility with EV innovation. Equipped with a 74.7 kWh battery and delivering 280 kW (380 ps), it accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 4.4 seconds and offers over 279 miles of range. It retains Subaru’s Symmetrical AWD, 210 mm of ground clearance, dual X-MODE terrain system, and 1500 kg towing capacity. Inside, it offers expanded cargo space for adventure-ready versatility. Safety remains paramount, with features such as Emergency Driving Stop, Secondary Collision Braking, and EyeSight-inspired driver assistance. The E-Outback will also arrive in the UK by summer 2026.

Meanwhile, the updated Solterra has received significant upgrades. With 252 kW (344 ps) from its dual e-axles and a larger 73.1 kWh battery, it now reaches 0 to 62 mph in 5.1 seconds and exceeds 310 miles of range. Fast charging improvements allow for 10–80% top-ups in 30 minutes, even at -10°C. Towing capacity has doubled to 1500 kg, and the model has been restyled for a more aerodynamic profile, a redesigned interior, and an advanced 14-inch infotainment display. Safety enhancements include upgraded camera systems for better all-surface awareness. The new Solterra will also launch in the UK in early 2026.

Subaru is ushering in a bold new era of electric mobility without compromising the core values that define the brand: safety, performance, and all-terrain confidence. These new EVs are designed to meet the demands of modern drivers while staying true to Subaru’s adventurous spirit. As Subaru deepens its presence in Europe’s EV landscape, it’s not merely adapting to the future; it’s driving its evolution.
