Ras Al Khaimah to Host Landmark Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub with Rana Group

Ras al khaimah, 07-August-2025: Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ) has signed a landmark agreement with India’s Rana Group to develop the Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub, a transformative project designed to advance the region’s industrial landscape and sustainability initiatives.

The partnership was sealed at the Compass Coworking Centre, with Dr. Darshan Rana, Chairman and Managing Director of Erisha E Mobility, and Ian Hunt, Chief Experience Officer at RAKEZ, signing the lease.

Covering 15 million sq. ft. at Al Ghail Industrial Park, the Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub is set to become one of the region’s largest industrial projects. The hub is expected to support over 150 industries, with a strong focus on cutting-edge technologies such as electric and hydrogen vehicle production, renewable energy solutions, and semiconductor manufacturing. The partnership will serve as a springboard for the Middle East and Africa expansion of Erisha E Mobility, the Group’s electric vehicle subsidiary, while also reinforcing Rana Group’s established operations in India.

More than just an industrial base, the Hub is envisioned as a fully integrated mixed-use ecosystem. It will combine residential, commercial, educational, healthcare, and financial facilities to create a self-sustaining community. Planned amenities include hospitals, medical colleges, shopping complexes, hypermarkets, office spaces, warehouses, banks, and community centres, all designed to support both industrial growth and quality of life.

This ambitious development not only marks a significant milestone in Ras Al Khaimah’s industrial diversification but also reflects its growing role as a hub for sustainable innovation and advanced manufacturing.

In the official Press Release of RAKEZ, elaborating on the vision behind the Hub, Dr Rana commented, “By integrating diverse spaces into the Hub, we aim to create a sustainable and technologically advanced ecosystem. We are thrilled to work with RAKEZ and bring Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub to life. This project will be at the forefront of the green energy revolution, contributing significantly to the UAE’s net-zero ambitions and creating a self-sustainable future. Our goal is to set new benchmarks in sustainable industrialisation, driving innovation while supporting the global transition to cleaner energy solutions.”

In the same press release, RAKEZ Group CEO Ramy Jallad said, “Ras Al Khaimah continues to establish itself as a fertile base for technological innovation and sustainable development. In the past year alone, we’ve seen a surge in interest from master developers across the globe, with major projects announced from China, Singapore, and now India. These mega developments are a testament to the thriving ecosystem we’ve built, defined by robust infrastructure, cost-effectiveness, and a flexible business environment. Projects like the Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub reflect our commitment to enabling forward-thinking initiatives that drive economic diversification and reinforce Ras Al Khaimah’s leadership in green energy and advanced manufacturing.”

This partnership reflects a joint commitment to sustainability and innovation, with RAKEZ providing the ideal platform for Erisha E Mobility’s global growth. The Hub will serve as a key driver of progress for Ras Al Khaimah, the UAE, and beyond.
