Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – July 10, 2025: LuLu Retail has further strengthened its presence in Saudi Arabia with the grand opening of a new hypermarket in Jeddah’s Al-Baghdadiyah Al-Gharbiyah district, a move that reflects the group’s ongoing commitment to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and its ambitions for economic diversification.

The expansive store, located on the busy Al Andalus Road, spans over 117,000 square feet and brings together a broad range of offerings under one roof. From daily essentials and fresh produce to electronics, fashion, and specialty health counters, the new outlet is designed to serve the evolving needs of Jeddah’s growing urban population. A food court, situated alongside the fresh food section, provides a space for customers to relax and enjoy hot meals during or after their shopping.

“We are proud to further strengthen our footprint in Jeddah with the launch of this hypermarket in Al-Baghdadiyah Al-Gharbiyah,” said Yusuffali M.A, Chairman of LuLu Group. “This expansion reflects our unwavering commitment to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by creating jobs, enhancing retail infrastructure, and offering world-class shopping experiences to the community. We remain dedicated to being a catalyst in Saudi Arabia’s dynamic retail transformation.”

The store is divided into several key sections, including LuLu Connect for electronics, a dedicated fashion department, and specialty counters such as BLSH and Eye Express. Ample parking has been provided to accommodate local shoppers and visitors alike, ensuring a convenient and accessible retail experience.

To mark the opening, LuLu is offering special promotions across various departments, providing early visitors with competitive pricing and value on a wide range of products.

The Jeddah hypermarket represents more than just another retail outlet. It forms part of LuLu Group’s larger strategy to align its operations with Saudi Arabia’s long-term economic goals, including the development of the private sector and the enhancement of consumer services. The project is also expected to generate employment opportunities and support local supply chains.

Several other notable guests joined the inauguration, including Saleh Ihsan Tayeb, Director of Corporate Communications at the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce; Youssef Abdullah Al-Salami, Mayor of Al-Baghdadiyah; Mohammed Wajih bin Hassan Sharbatly, a board member at Al Nahla Group; and Eng.
