11 Sep, 2023: The German car manufacturer, BMW has announced plans to convert its Mini facility in Oxford, England, into a dedicated electric vehicle production site, ensuring job security for the workforce at a historic location with a century-long legacy of automobile manufacturing.

The company is investing £600 million ($751 million) in this project, enabling the factory to commence the production of two fresh all-electric models by 2026, with a full transition to electric vehicle manufacturing set to be completed four years thereafter.
