Volvo Introduces the EX30 Cross Country for Enhanced Off-Road Performance

10 February 2025: Volvo has expanded its EX30 electric model lineup by introducing the EX30 Cross Country, a rugged and adventure-ready variant. While maintaining the same all-wheel-drive system as the top-tier EX30 model, this version stands out with exclusive features and enhanced ground clearance that sets a new benchmark in the automotive world.

Built on the Ultra equipment line, the Volvo EX30 Cross Country retains the dual-motor all-wheel drive setup with a total output of 315 kW. Designed to transition seamlessly from urban streets to off-road trails, Volvo describes this model as an "adventurous package."

The off-road-oriented EX30 Cross Country boasts several distinctive features, including an increased ground clearance of 190 millimetres, uniquely designed five-spoke cross-country wheels, and a matte black exterior. Protective elements such as underride guards at the front and rear, as well as extended wheel arches, further reinforce its rugged appearance. Additional accessories, such as special 18-inch off-road tyres, load carriers, a roof basket, and mud flaps, are available. These extras can be purchased individually or as part of the comprehensive ‘Cross Country Experience’ package. Volvo has also indicated that more accessory options will be introduced in the future.

In an official press release by Volvo, Jim Rowan, CEO and President of Volvo Cars stated, “We launched our first Cross Country car over 25 years ago, and this concept of durable and all-weather cars is core to the Volvo brand.” He further added, “In Sweden we face harsh winters, but we also like to make the most of them by getting out and exploring our amazing nature, even when it’s minus 20 Celsius outside. That’s why we want to deliver a fully rounded experience, not simply a car, to our EX30 Cross Country customers.”

The Volvo EX30 Cross Country promises to be an exciting addition to the EV market, offering an innovative driving experience that aligns with Volvo's values of sustainability and premium quality. With its advanced features and eco-conscious design, it’s poised to appeal to adventure-seeking consumers looking for an all-electric vehicle with rugged capabilities.
