May 1, 2024: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is set to construct the world's highest rooftop beach on Ras Al Khaimah’s Al Marjan Island. Described as the highest beach globally, it will boast authentic sand and seawater, setting it apart as a unique attraction, according to the developer. Construction has already commenced and is slated for completion by the end of 2026.

Designed to cater to discerning travellers and adventure seekers alike, the rooftop beach will feature pristine sands, crystal-clear waters, and world-class amenities. From infinity pools to gourmet dining options, every aspect of the experience will be meticulously crafted to offer unparalleled relaxation and indulgence. The residential freehold development, valued at Dh400 million, will offer 450 units priced from Dh1.2 million onwards. Drawing inspiration from the Maldives, the resort will grant direct access to the island's beaches. The rooftop beach, standing at 197 feet tall, will feature beach cabanas and sun loungers on authentic sand overlooking sand water pools.
