The prestigious award, awarded by Great Place to Work, highlights RAKTDA’s dedication to fostering an equitable workplace culture that prioritises career development and leadership opportunities. This latest honour follows RAKTDA's certification as a Great Place to Work® for the fourth year in a row and its inclusion in the esteemed ‘Best Workplaces in the Middle East™ 2024’ list. These recognitions reflect RAKTDA’s continuous efforts to promote inclusivity within the organisation.
Raki Phillips, the Chief Executive Officer of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, shared his insights in the company’s press release, stating that, “Being recognised on the ‘Best Workplaces for Women™ – GCC 2024’ list once again reflects our unwavering commitment to fostering an environment where everyone can thrive. At RAKTDA, we go beyond just advocating for gender equity; we create clear pathways to ensure it. This award acknowledges the hard work and dedication of our entire team in building a culture that supports and elevates women in a workplace.”
In 2024, RAKTDA proudly supports a diverse team of over 80 members from 27 nationalities, featuring a nearly balanced gender ratio of 43 women to 39 men. Women occupy five of the ten leadership positions, including roles such as Director of Government Relations & Events, Vice President of Finance & Corporate Services, Senior Director of Human Resources, Vice President of Commercial Gaming, and Vice President of Marketing & Communications.
RAKTDA’s supportive workplace culture is further demonstrated through its family-friendly policies, offering generous maternity and paternity leave that exceeds legal requirements. This initiative enhances RAKTDA’s appeal for parents striving to balance work and family life while highlighting its commitment to employee well-being.
This year’s recognition adds to RAKTDA's impressive track record of honours as a “Great Place to Work.” In 2023, the authority achieved 4th place in the ‘Best Workplaces in the Public Sector for the GCC’ and was named one of the ‘Best Workplaces in the UAE & the Middle East for Small & Medium Organisations’ in 2022. That same year, RAKTDA also received accolades as one of the ‘Best Workplaces for Millennials’ and among the ‘Best Workplaces in the UAE.’ Additionally, in 2021, it was honoured as one of the ‘Best Workplaces for Women’ in the small organisation category.
