Mercedes Unveils all New 484-Mile CLA EV Starting at Just £45K

UK, 08 May 2025: Mercedes-Benz has revealed its latest electric saloon, the CLA EV, setting a new benchmark in the segment with an impressive range of up to 484 miles. Priced from just £45,615, the CLA 250+ EQ Technology model combines long-distance capability, premium features, and advanced technology in a sleek, efficient package. Initial deliveries are scheduled to start in summer 2025.

Surpassing the range of the flagship EQS 450+, the CLA EV achieves outstanding efficiency using an 85kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt battery, delivering over 5.0 miles per kWh, making it one of the most energy-efficient electric vehicles ever introduced in Europe.

The CLA’s impressive range is aided by its ultra-aerodynamic design, featuring a drag coefficient as low as 0.2. Although it's larger than the previous model, smart design features such as flush wheels, refined airflow channels, and smooth surfaces boost both its aesthetics and aerodynamic efficiency.

In a first for Mercedes, the CLA EV and its hybrid counterpart will share the same design, blending future-focused technology with the brand’s signature styling. Iconic star motifs appear in the headlights and rear lights, while the flush front grille features 142 illuminated stars surrounding the central badge which creates a striking, modern front end.

In top-tier versions, the full-width “Superscreen” spans the dashboard. The other models feature a decorative LED-lit glass panel with star patterns, adding a premium and futuristic ambiance. The CLA EV also delivers practicality, offering 405 litres of boot space and an additional 101-litre front trunk, something rare for a luxury electric saloon.

With its stunning range, modern styling, cutting-edge technology, and premium features, the new Mercedes CLA EV delivers a compelling blend of luxury, efficiency, and innovation that makes it one of the most exciting electric vehicles to arrive in 2025.
