UK, June 11, 2025: Discovery has revitalised its family-friendly compact SUV offering with the updated Discovery Sport range, introducing dynamic styling, enhanced specifications, and two new special editions, the Metropolitan and Landmark. The changes make the Discovery Sport more appealing than ever for buyers seeking practicality, luxury, and versatility in one package.

Starting with the visually upgraded Dynamic S trim, the entire line-up features fresh alloy wheel options and curated accessory packs tailored for various lifestyles. The compact SUV remains true to its roots, offering exceptional interior space, seven-seat capability, and up to 24 different seating configurations to accommodate diverse family needs.

The Discovery Sport Metropolitan emerges as the range-topping variant, showcasing premium design elements inspired by its larger sibling, the Discovery Metropolitan. On the exterior, it’s distinguished by Atlas Silver Discovery badging, Indus Silver undershields, and striking 20-inch Diamond Turned alloy wheels.

Featuring the original 1989 mountain range logo on illuminated treadplates and puddle lamps, it brings a sense of adventure into the modern era. Practical elements like sliding second-row seats, a panoramic roof, and integrated Click & Go media holders enhance comfort for families on the move.

In an official press release by Land Rover, Joelle Taylor, Head of Discovery Strategy, Product and Services, stated, “Discovery Sport’s compact dimensions belie its outstanding interior space and exceptional seven‑seat versatility, making it the perfect companion for family adventures all year round – which we know come in all shapes and sizes. And, all weathers. Alongside this ingenious practicality, Discovery Sport now feels more dynamic, more luxurious and more individual than ever, with the introduction of our new Metropolitan and Landmark editions, and additional accessory pack options.”

Every model now includes a digital instrument cluster, steering-mounted gearshift paddles, and an 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen with the intuitive Pivi Pro infotainment system. The user-friendly interface allows access to most functions within two taps, while wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard for seamless connectivity.

Under the bonnet, the 2025 Discovery Sport continues to offer a choice of plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and mild-hybrid (MHEV) powertrains. The PHEV variant delivers up to 61 km (38 miles) of electric-only range, suitable for most daily commutes, while rapid DC charging enables a 0–80% recharge in just 30 minutes. Meanwhile, MHEV technology ensures smoother city driving and improved efficiency across the range.

With a continued emphasis on electrification, the updated Discovery Sport range aligns with Land Rover’s broader commitment to sustainable mobility. The availability of efficient plug-in hybrid and mild hybrid powertrains enhances performance. Combined with practical new features, curated lifestyle packs, and refined design upgrades, the 2025 Discovery Sport underscores Land Rover’s vision for a versatile, future-ready SUV that blends luxury with responsibility.
