03 July 2024: Hilton Hotels & Resorts has announced its plans to expand its presence in Ras Al Khaimah with the signing of the new luxury Hilton Marjan Island Beach Resort & Spa with M hospitality. Scheduled for opening in the fourth quarter of 2026, this luxury property will expand Hilton's rapidly expanding collection to 80 hotels across 11 brands in the Middle East.
The Hilton Marjan Island Beach Resort & Spa is set to offer guests a luxurious retreat on Marjan Island, one of the emirate's most picturesque locations. The resort will feature a range of amenities designed to cater to both leisure and business travellers, including multiple dining options, extensive conference facilities, and a state-of-the-art spa. Construction on the resort is set to begin soon, with an anticipated opening date that will be announced in due course.
In an official press release by Hilton, Carlos Khneisser, Vice President, Development, Middle East & Africa, Hilton stated, “Hilton has been operating in Ras Al Khaimah for over 20 years and we are excited to be working with M Hospitality once again. With Ras Al Khaimah expected to welcome over 3.8 million visitors by 2027, we see great opportunity in the emirate and its leisure hubs such as Marjan Island. We currently have two hotels in operation on the island and Hilton Marjan Island Beach Resort & Spa will add significantly to our offering.”
Mohammed Ruqait, Chairman of M Hospitality, said in the company’s press release, “We are honoured to unveil our latest venture — a world-class hotel on Ras Al Khaimah’s iconic Al Marjan Island. This project reflects our commitment to redefining modern living, offering an upscale hospitality experience. Teaming up with the prestigious Hilton brand signifies the third milestone in our journey, and we are excited to contribute to the cultural and economic landscape of Ras Al Khaimah.”
Located just an hour's drive from Dubai International Airport and a mere 20 minutes from Ras Al Khaimah International Airport, the hotel will also be situated adjacent to Hampton by Hilton Marjan Island. The resort is expected to be a significant addition to Ras Al Khaimah's hospitality landscape, offering guests scenic views of the Arabian Gulf and convenient access to nearby attractions.
The resort will strengthen Hilton's current collection of 36 hotels in the UAE, which already includes five properties in Ras Al Khaimah. Hilton's expansion in Ras Al Khaimah comes at a time of growing interest in the emirate as a tourist destination, driven by its natural beauty, cultural heritage, and diverse leisure offerings. The addition of Hilton Marjan Island Beach Resort & Spa is expected to further enhance Ras Al Khaimah's appeal to both regional and international travellers seeking memorable and enriching experiences.
