UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi hosted a delegation to celebrate the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the American Business Council in Dubai (AmCham Dubai) and Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ).
The MoU establishes a comprehensive framework for collaboration aimed at elevating Ras Al Khaimah as a premier investment hub for American businesses. This partnership underscores the emirate’s commitment to fostering international business relationships and enhancing its global investment appeal.
The delegation, led by US Ambassador Martina Strong, included key members of AmCham Dubai and representatives from leading American firms based in the UAE. The MoU was officially signed by CEO of RAKEZ Ramy Jallad and Sammy Bousaba, Chairman of AmCham Dubai.
In an official publication issued by RAKEZ, Sammy Bousaba said, “AmCham Dubai is dedicated to strengthening the robust ties between American businesses and Ras Al Khaimah. This MoU represents our commitment to expanding opportunities for American enterprises to thrive in the emirate. We are focused on deepening American engagement in Ras Al Khaimah, in alignment with the emirate’s strategic goals and its vision for continuous growth.”
Ramy Jallad added, “This strategic MoU with AmCham Dubai will further cement our ties with the growing American business community. With nearly 1,000 American investors already established at RAKEZ, we remain dedicated to fostering an enabling environment for US companies and highlighting Ras Al Khaimah’s role as a dynamic hub for international investment. We look forward to facilitating more American enterprises in their journey to expand in the Middle East and beyond, leveraging RAKEZ’s world-class facilities and services.”
Under this collaboration, AmCham Dubai and RAKEZ will partner to host joint business events in Ras Al Khaimah and Dubai, offer tailored support services to American companies, and facilitate visits from US business delegations to the emirate, showcasing Ras Al Khaimah as a premier global business destination.
Ras Al Khaimah is already home to prominent US companies like Guardian Glass and Caresoft, both based in Illinois, and the newly announced Wynn Resort, a significant investment of nearly USD 4 billion.
This partnership with AmCham Dubai, a key member of the Global Network of American Chambers of Commerce, underscores the shared commitment of both organisations to fostering sustainable business development and strengthening economic ties, benefitting Ras Al Khaimah and the broader Middle East region.
