Land Rover finally unveiled the fifth-generation New Range Rover on 26th of October at the Royal Opera House in London. The Brand has also confirmed that a fully electric Range Rover will arrive sometime during 2024 and the model will represent one of the most significant changes for the iconic SUV providing more refinement, customer choice and scope for personalization than ever before in the last half a century. Starting with the Range Rover EV in 2024, the firm plans to launch six other pure-electric variants over the next five years.
The fifth-generation luxury model is the first model to use Land Rover’s new flexible Modular Longitudinal Architecture taking Land Rover’s modernist design philosophy to the next level combining advanced technology with modern luxury to deliver peerless refinement for every occupant. The car looks rough yet sumptuous having a hybrid powertrain that maintains the authenticity of the elegant car and is a masterpiece of seamless and clean-cut design and hence appears outstanding in every sense.
The deluxe automobile carries its aesthetics from the outside to its interior. The car has a dashboard enclosed by full-width air vents, and sitting in the centre of it all is a new 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The New Range Rover comes with the integrated Amazon Alexa voice assistant and offers control to some vehicle functions as well as turn on lights at home and connect with other Alexa-enabled devices.
The all-new Range Rover uses MLA-Flex architecture and can accommodate internal combustion and plug-in hybrid. This platform is also capable of adopting 100 percent electrified powertrains. Apart from that, the automobile offers a host of new features with a four-wheel steering, active anti-roll bars, eHorizon data, electronic air suspension and a 35-speaker, 1,600-watt Meridian surround sound system with third-gen active noise elimination.
